Crossfire: J.K.Special ! !

The song Crossfire by German Bass player Jörg Kleutgens featuring drumming legend Dave Weckl is timeless work from the early 1990s funk/jazz genre.
The piece has a tremendous guitar solo by Jörg’s brother Dirk. The improvisation is masterful in its flow and how it disconnects and re-emerges with the groove. When you listen closely you can almost “see” his mind at play. Listen attentively to the subtle pauses as he sets up the next section. The solo exhibits gliding left hand movements, smooth picking, and chord play at the solos end as they reform the complete groove. This is one of my favorite songs and best funk/jazz improvisational guitar solos. I challenge you to listen and see each individual instrument as the group navigates together.
