San Diego Rail Yard Relocation and Development - Existing Conditions

PART 1: We took a look at what would happen if we relocated the light rail maintenance yard and the bus facility. The land is in a prime location with tremendous land value. We envision a new central rail station, dense residential and commercial zones and a new arts district adjacent to rail tracks of the existing right of way.

This city image shows the existing conditions of the built environment. The development potential is enormous. Note the large expanse of land currently occupied by the rail yard. The value contained within that undeveloped land is huge. We explore what a transformation may look like.
